About us

The CEEC was established in September 2008. It is located on privately owned land in the stunning setting of the Clearwater Bay country park. We are blessed with cool sea breezes thanks to our peninsula position offering a 260 degree view of the sea.

The centre is privately owned by Managing Director, Nicky Loiterton. We hold BHS (British Horse Society) approval for the following – Where to Train, Livery Yard and Riding School. For details of these achievements, please visit the BHS website www.bhs.org.uk

All CEEC staff share the same priorities – healthy, happy horses and safe, enjoyable, top level instruction.

Our horse’s welfare is paramount and this is evident when you visit the yard. All the horses and ponies at the CEEC receive the best possible care under extremely stringent stable management standards. All the equines at the CEEC receive frequent turn out in the paddocks, regular holidays & rest days and extensive human interaction. All their feed is imported from either Europe or the USA and their tack is checked regularly for fit& comfort for the horse and safety of the rider. In addition each horse is checked head to toe at least once a week by a senior member of staff to ensure that he is in optimum health. Our stable staff receive at least two hours of training per week to develop their skills and knowledge. The management has a zero tolerance attitude toward aggressive treatment of any of the horses or ponies.

Our clients are also well looked after! To ensure your safety& enjoyment, all our staff receive regular tuition to improve and/or develop their teaching skills. Emphasis is placed on fun – riding is, after all, a hobby and therefore should be enjoyed. Most of our teaching staff have been hired from the UK. Those that are local hires have either achieved their BHS exams or are under our working pupil programme. Our staff are expected to continue to learn and increase their teaching & riding abilities throughout their employment.

All our instructors receive First Aid training in the unlikely, but possible, event of a fall that requires emergency treatment.

We currently have 11 instructors – full details of these instructors can be found here. The centre is actively involved in bringing in top trainers and horse professionals from all over the world with regular clinics offered by some the top riders in the world.
